This custom-made artwork was specially created for the VIP reception area of China CITIC Bank. Hand-forged in traditional coppercraft, the piece presents the characters “Zhong Xin” (中信) in ancient Chinese seal script, set within a circular composition. The warm, refined bronze paired with a deep red background creates a dignified and grounded aesthetic—echoing CITIC Bank’s spirit of stability and integrity.
More than just a name, “Zhong Xin” reflects the profound meaning of “Rooted in China, Guided by Trust.” The use of seal script pays tribute to China’s rich calligraphic heritage, while artistically expressing the values and cultural foundation of a modern financial institution. This artwork unfolds from a grand perspective, presenting towering peaks, misty forests, and a sea of clouds in harmonious interplay. Thia is a sculptural series created with a refined combination of white marble and metal inlay, specially designed for China CITIC Bank. Drawing inspiration from the bank’s five core values—“Customer First, Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, Excellence”—each piece is engraved in ancient seal script onto upright marble forms, reminiscent of enduring mountains.
Crafted from fine white marble, a material symbolizing purity and moral clarity, and accented with solid metal, the works embody both timeless stability and forward-looking strength. Referencing the traditional Chinese art of jinshi zhuanke (seal carving in metal and stone), the sculptures are shaped as monumental seals—echoing the ancient bronze stamps that once signified authority and trust.
By embedding these values in stone and metal, the series transforms abstract ideals into permanent, tangible symbols. Crafted from hand-forged copper and vibrant cloisonné enamel, this piece depicts the majestic convergence of mountains and waterways from an aerial perspective. The upper relief features finely textured copper ridges, symbolizing the depth of history and national resilience. Flowing downward, dynamic metal lines and translucent blue enamel form rivers and seas, evoking the spread of ideas, culture, and financial vitality.
