A Glimpse of Ancient City Life on Eternal Porcelain
Blue & White · Urban Life is a large-scale porcelain artwork that beautifully merges traditional craftsmanship with modern spatial aesthetics. With a diameter of approximately 1200 mm (customizable), the piece is formed by bonding two porcelain plates back-to-back, set firmly atop a custom stone base. Its refined and balanced design makes it both a stunning decorative centerpiece and an elegant space divider.
Crafted using high-temperature techniques in Jingdezhen, the porcelain features classic cobalt blue painting. Inspired by the renowned Along the River During the Qingming Festival, the artwork captures selected scenes from the bustling ancient city—depicting architecture, trees, bridges, and daily life in the Song Dynasty with intricate brushwork and delicate transitions. The blue-and-white tones offer a harmonious rhythm between movement and stillness, like a historical scroll unfolding in ceramic form.
More than just porcelain, this piece is a cultural narrative made tangible—reviving the charm of a thousand-year-old street scene within contemporary interiors. Ideal for art galleries, hotel lobbies, clubs, or luxury residences that value cultural depth and timeless artistry.
